QuickMirror.me: a free online mirror for your webcam

Check yourself before you tech yourself. QuickMirror turns your webcam into a mirror so you can see how you look before a Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or FaceTime call. One click, no sign-up, and nothing is ever recorded.

How it works

  1. Open quickmirror.me on your phone or computer.
  2. Allow camera access when your browser asks.
  3. Fix your hair, lighting, and background, then join your call with confidence.

Features

Private by design

QuickMirror runs entirely in your browser. Your video goes from your camera to your screen and nowhere else: no servers, no recording, no tracking, no ads. Don't take our word for it; the code is open source on GitHub.

The story

Gant Laborde live-coded the first version of QuickMirror with React and AWS Amplify. Read about it on DEV: Live-coding, Creating, Living.

Frequently asked questions

Is QuickMirror free?

Yes. QuickMirror is free, has no ads, and needs no account. It is open source on GitHub.

Does QuickMirror record or upload my video?

No. The video goes straight from your camera to your screen inside your browser. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent to a server.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. QuickMirror works in mobile Safari and Chrome on iPhone, iPad, and Android, and opens the front-facing selfie camera by default.

Why does my image look flipped?

QuickMirror starts mirrored, like a real mirror. Tap Mirrored to switch to Unmirrored and see yourself the way other people on a call see you.

How do I use a different webcam?

Pick it from the camera menu at the bottom of the mirror. QuickMirror remembers your choice for next time.

Why isn't my camera working?

Make sure you allowed camera access for quickmirror.me (look for the camera icon in the address bar) and that no other app, like Zoom or Teams, is using the camera. Then press Try again.
